Hallo zusammen,

ich habe ein Problem mit meinem phpBB3 Forum. Dazu habe ich schon auf phpbb.com ein Thema eröffnet:

I have a big problem with my board. I just wanted to test if the template file "viewtopic_body.html" also works with utf8 encoding. Then I recognized, that it does not work. But changing the file back in Latin1 did not help. It just shows nothing, if I want to view a topic ?!?

Can somebody help me with that?

OK, first I tested to change the encoding with TextMate on Mac, it still did not work. Then I went to PC installed notepad++ converted it to utf8 without BOM and uploaded it. Then I cleared the cache.

But it still does not work -.- I have no idea, what the problem is...

It may help you, finding my problem: After changing it to utf8 with Dreamweaver I was not able to edit the file in the ACP. Now I am able to edit, but it still shows nothing, if I want to view a topic.

I updated to 3.0.5 now (not only in the hope of solving the problem with that), but it is still the same problem. If it would at least say me, that there was an error or something...

Da ich dort nach dem letzten Post keine Antwort mehr bekommen habe und, da das Thema jetzt schon auf Seite 2 oder 3 ist, ich vermute, dass ich auch keine Antwort mehr bekommen werde, hoffe ich, dass ihr mir helfen könnt.

Es geht im Grunde darum, dass ich mal testen wollte, ob man die Template-Dateien von phpbb auch utf8 kodiert verwenden kann (hatte nämlich Probleme mit den Umlauten im Template). Also habe ich zum Testen die "viewtopic_body.html" in utf8 hochgeladen. Wenn ich mir jetzt ein Thema ansehen wollte erschien einfach eine leere Seite. Gut - hab ich mir gedacht - dann machste das wieder rückgängig. Also Kodierung wieder auf Latin1 gestellt und hochgeladen. Jetzt funktioniert das aber immernoch nicht. Ich erhalte immernoch die leere Seite.

Der Support-Mensch von phpBB hat mir dann erklärt, dass es mit Dreamweaver zu tun hat, da Dreamweaver die Dateien irgendwie so abändert, dass es nicht mehr funktioniert. Darauf hin habe ich die Datei mit einem anderen Editor konvertiert - ging immernoch nicht. Dann hab ich das Zeugs auf Windows gespielt und mit Notepad++ konvertiert und es geht bis jetzt immernoch nicht...

Bin gerade am verzweifeln... Wär super, wenn ihr mir helfen könntet.
