video blob

Hey Leute, ich bin noch neu in der Welt des html und hätte eine Frage: was ist das blob attribut? Als beispiel: <video src="blob:https://www.youtube.com/usw..."> eigentlich gibt man hier ganz normal die resource an, jedoch verstehe ich nicht was das blob hier soll... kann mir das irgendjemand...
