Menü IE7/6 versetzt

Folgendes Spry Menü stellt die Submenüs im IE6/7 nach rechts versetzt an. Richtig wäre, wie im IE8 die Darstellung direkt unter dem Button.

Im CSS ist die nachstehend rot markierte Zeile der Übeltäter. Wenn ich dort "left" einstelle ist alles in Ordnung. Aufgrund der Darstellung soll der
Text aber in der Mitte liegen.

Hat jemand eine Idee?

Ohne den Code angesehen zu haben, ein Link wäre schöner, position:relative UND float? Das macht keinen Sinn.
 
Das CSS gehört zu dem Spry Menü. Im IE8 /FF/ Safari etc. funktioniert das Teil ja. Nur der IE6/7 zickt. Es seie denn ich gebe bei "text-align: left; anstatt: center; ein.

Ich vermute diesen bekannten IE-Bug:
Mit text-align: center, wird nicht nur der inline-Inhalt sondern auch die ganze blockbox (<a>) zentriert.

Die Lösung wäre nicht dem li sondern li a text-align: center; zu geben.
Wenn das nicht hilft zeige einen Link zur Seite.

position:relative UND float? Das macht keinen Sinn.
position relative auf ul li dient bestimmt als Bezugspunkt (containing block) für die darin enthaltenen, absoluten Positionierungen.
Ich habe den Code aber auch nicht kopiert / ausprobiert
